I wasn't 100% sure about going to the show, but I am REALLY glad I did. I have always liked Jim's comedy but he wasn't in my top five favorite comedians. That changed after last week's show. He killed! He was really funny and had me in tears (literally) at two different points. His new material is hysterically funny and is especially relatable to anyone between 45 and 60. My wife isn't as big of a comedy fan as I am but, but she said he was great and definitely wants to go see him again.
BTW, the opening act was also funny, but the crowd was completely dead until the headliner came on. Still, despite the crowd, he did a great job and has a long future in comedy.
The show was at the Seminole Coconut Creek. It was my first time there, but it is a great venue. Easy to get to, parking in the garage was no problem, and the staff was super friendly. The venue had about 30 ushers working, so everyone was seated quickly and easily. I was very impressed with the facility and actually like it better than the main Seminole Hard Rock in Hollywood.
